A common issue on the Audi A1 8X and Q3 8U is the MMI control knob breaking away from the unit. When this happens it can snap the wiring on the rotary switch, which often leads to a full infotainment replacement costing ££££.
We have developed our own repair bracket, made in house, to prevent and fix this problem. It can be fitted as a precaution before the original mount breaks, or fitted as a repair with a new rotary switch once the unit has failed.
What makes our bracket different
- Fits using the original mounting holes and screws, no cutting or drilling required
- If fitting as a precaution, you only need to push out the original mount
- The bracket slots neatly inside the original casing, once fitted it looks factory
