Clutch Position Sensor for DQ500, DQ380 and DQ381
A common issue on these gearboxes is failure of the clutch position sensors, often resulting in fault codes P1735 – Position Sensor for Clutch 1 or P1736 – Position Sensor for Clutch 2. After encountering this failure many times, we now offer this sensor for purchase, or you can send your unit to us for repair (applicable to 0DL DQ500 gearboxes only, not 0BH DQ500s).
⚠️ Important: This part must be fitted by a professional with confidence in circuit board repair. We accept no responsibility for damage caused by incorrect installation.
Why Choose Our Sensors?
Our sensors are developed and supplied under our own brand and part numbers—not Bosch—and are the result of years of testing and refinement. They have earned a reputation for exceptional reliability and are now trusted by technicians and workshops worldwide.
Before bringing them to market, we carried out extensive evaluation of multiple sensor types to identify those capable of delivering the long-term durability and precision we demand. From this process, we selected and approved the design that met our strict standards, and we have since supplied thousands of units without a single reported failure.
What sets our sensors apart is not just the design, but the testing process. To ensure every sensor meets specification, we engineered a custom-built electronic test rig that replicates real-world operating conditions. Each sensor is fully bench-tested before dispatch, verifying correct signal output, thermal stability, and response accuracy. To the best of our knowledge, no other company in the UK offers this level of testing and quality control.
By combining stringent component selection with industry-leading in-house validation, our sensors provide a proven, dependable solution—giving you complete confidence in every installation.
What is our Easy Solder Board?
Repeated failures in mechatronic units are often caused by poor soldering—these are not easy components to work with. To solve this, we developed our Easy Solder Board (ESB).
This board is soldered directly on top of the new sensor. Simply tin the contacts on your mechatronic unit, insert the new sensor with the ESB already mounted, then reheat the solder on the contacts and press them onto the circuit board. That’s it—secure, reliable, and far less chance of error.
